THE ICON OF NIKE :

1. CRISTIANO RONALDO: is a Portuguese footballer who plays as a winger for Spanish club Real Madrid and as captain for the Portuguese national team. He previously played for Sporting CP in Portugal and Manchester United in England. Ronaldo transferred to Real Madrid on 1 July 2009 in a deal worth £80 million (€94m, US$132m), making him the most expensive player in football history. His contract with Real Madrid was also expected to make him the highest-paid player in the world.[2]

Ronaldo began his career as a youth player at CD Nacional and his successes with the team led to a move to Sporting Clube de Portugal two seasons afterwards. Ronaldo's precocious talent caught the attention of Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson and he signed the 18-year-old for £12.24 million in 2003. The following season, Ronaldo won his first club honour, the FA Cup, and reached the UEFA Euro 2004 final with Portugal, in which tournament he scored his first international goal.

In 2008, Ronaldo won his first UEFA Champions League title, and was named player of the tournament. He was named the FIFPro World Player of the Year and the FIFA World Player of the Year, in addition to becoming Manchester United's first Ballon d'Or winner in 40 years.

Ronaldinho, Portuguese for "Little Ronaldo," is known in Brazil by the nickname "Gaúcho," in order to distinguish him from Ronaldo, who was already called "Ronaldinho" in Brazil. Ronaldo simply went by his first name upon his move to Europe, thereby allowing Ronaldinho to drop the "Gaúcho" and remain simply as Ronaldinho.

Prior to his move to Milan, he played for Paris Saint-Germain, and FC Barcelona, with whom he won his first Champions League in 2006. He became a Spanish citizen in January 2007.

DAVID BECKHAM: is an English footballer who currently plays in midfield for American Major League Soccer club Los Angeles Galaxy and the England national team.

Twice runner-up for FIFA World Player of the Year and in 2004 the world's highest-paid footballer, Beckham is the first British footballer to play 100 Champions League matches. He was Google's most searched of all sports topics in both 2003 and 2004. With such global recognition he has become an elite advertising brand and a top fashion icon. Beckham was captain of England from 15 November 2000 until the 2006 FIFA World Cup finals, during which he played 58 times. Since then he has continued to represent his country and earned his much-publicised hundredth cap for England against France on 26 March 2008. He is currently England's most-capped outfield player with 112 appearances.

Beckham's career began when he signed a professional contract with Manchester United, making his first-team debut in 1992 aged 17. During his time there, United won the Premier League title six times, the FA Cup twice, and the UEFA Champions League in 1999. He left Manchester United to sign for Real Madrid in 2003, where he remained for four seasons, clinching the La Liga championship in his final season with the club.

LIONEL MESSI: is an Argentine footballer of Italian descent who plays currently for Spanish La Liga club FC Barcelona and the Argentine national team. Messi is considered to be one of the best football players of his generation, having received several Ballon d'Or and FIFA World Player of the Year nominations by the age of 21. He was selected as both the FIFPro and World Soccer Magazine Young Player of the Year for three years running from 2005–2008. His playing style and ability have drawn comparisons to football legend Diego Maradona. Indeed, Maradona himself declared Messi his "successor".

Messi began playing football at a young age and his potential was quickly identified by FC Barcelona. He left Newell's Old Boys's youth team in 2000 and moved with his family to Europe, as Barcelona offered treatment for his growth hormone deficiency. Making his debut in the 2004–05 season, he broke the La Liga record for the youngest footballer to play a league game, and also the youngest to score a league goal. Major honours soon followed as Barcelona won La Liga in Messi's debut season, and won a double of the league and UEFA Champions League in 2006. His breakthrough season was in 2006–07: he became a first team regular, scoring a hat-trick in El Clásico and finishing with 14 goals in 26 league games. Perhaps his most successful season was the 2008–09 season, in which Messi scored 38 goals to play an integral part in a treble winning campaign.

Messi was the top scorer with six goals, including two in the final game of the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championship. Shortly thereafter, he became an established member of Argentina's senior international team. In 2006 he became the youngest Argentine to play in the FIFA World Cup and he won a runners-up medal at the Copa América tournament the following year. In Beijing in 2008 he won his first senior international honour, an Olympic gold medal, with the Argentina Olympic football team.

Newest Shoes

1. Nike

Mercurial vapor: Nike has released their super-fly Mercurial Vapor football cleats. The boot design is based on their flywire design, which was recently seen in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

The flywire design was derived from suspension bridges (shown) that aim to support the foot at the key points. This ultimately reduces weight, increases stability and optimizes the use of materials during the manufacturing process.

There are numerous features aside from the strategically placed foot support wires, including a Teijin skin and composite upper, carbon fiber structural support, one-piece heel protection, and a super traction sole.

I can’t wait to try these on; not only are they Nike’s lightest soccer cleat, but they are also super-stylish.

Nike T90: is a brand of Nike sportswear and equipment first introduced in 2000, and specifically designed to be used for association football. The range of products consists mainly of shoes, shirts, and shorts, but also includes other items such as socks, shin guards, equipment bags, drink bottles, goalkeeper gloves, and balls. The majority of Total 90 apparel is designed for athletic purposes and is made up of various materials that absorb sweat and transfer it to the outside of the material so it can evaporate quickly. More ventilated material is usually placed in areas more prone to sweat collecting such as the underarms and neck area.

In 2007, Nike introduced a new boot, the Nike Total 90 Laser. The boot's main feature was the concentric rubber rings (shot-shield) on the top of the boot, which, it was claimed, improved accuracy, swerve and power. It also boasts a "E-Vent" membrane throughout the boot's upper, which increases breathability, while blocking absorption. The boot's marketing involved several Nike-endorsed players, including Gennaro Gattuso, Carles Puyol, Diego, Fabio Cannavaro, Torsten Frings, Wayne Rooney, Michael Essien, Rafael Márquez, Fernando Torres and Florent Malouda. In April 2008, the Total 90 Laser was followed by the Total 90 Laser II. The latest version features a refined "sweet spot" and reduces the area of exposed laces.

There have been six generations of Total 90 boots, beginning with the Total 90s, followed by Total 90 II, Total 90 III, Total 90 IV Supremacy, Total 90 Laser and, most recently, the Total 90 Laser II.

Tiempo:is a brand of football sportswear established by Nike. It consists of boots, shin pads and kits.

The Nike Tiempo boot is known for its comfort and is endorsed by players such Ronaldinho and Cesc Fàbregas as well as several others. This boot comes in plain and original colours however can be personalised through the use of NikeID. It comes in four different soles, hard ground studs, soft ground studs and indoor and astro-turf soles.

Subsequently the Tiempo has been released under the 10R (Ronaldinho), Ronaldinho has his own version called: Ronaldinho Dois.

On July 1st The Nike Tiempo legend III will be released, in two colourways the first being Black, White, Volt and the second being Metallic White, Chilling Red.

2. Adidas Predator & F50:

Adidas Predator: is a range of football boots developed by German sportswear manufacturers Adidas. The common feature of the Predator range is the presence of rubber patches or strips on the top of the shoe that increase power, swerve, and accuracy when kicking the football.

Adidas F50: range of football boots is Adidas's signature line of customisable, lightweight boots. First released in 2004, in the build-up to UEFA Euro 2004, the range was released as a successor of the X-Line range and as a competitor for Nike's Mercurial Vapor range, which had been released two years earlier. The name F50 (Football 50) is a reference to the year 1954 when the German Football team won the World Cup in revolutionary Adidas boots with exchangeable studs. Adidas decided to mark this occasion with another revolutionary boot exactly 50 years after the event in 2004.
